Biographies of the Founders
Biographies of the Founding Fathers,
[John Vinci] presents biographies of the 103 men who signed one or more of
principal documents of the American Revolution:
-- the Declaration of Independence (56 signers)
-- the Articles of Confederation (46 signers)
-- the United States Constitution (39 signers)
These biographies were taken from the books
-- Lives of the Signers to the Declaration of Independence,
by the Rev. Charles A. Goodrich (1829)
-- The United States Manual of Biography and History,
by James V. Marshall. (James B. Smith & Co., Philadelphia, 1856).
The full text of The Lives of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence,
by Nathaniel Dwight (A.S. Barnes, New York, 1860) is posted on the web under.

from the time that he started considering independence through to the end of the war.
Stories of Patriots Who Were Not Famous
Joseph Plum Martin was a soldier from that northern part of Massachusetts that was
to become Maine. Many years after the war was over he published his experiences
as a young man who spent six years as a soldier in the Revolution. The places, dates,
and events he notes in
Some of the Adventures, Dangers and Sufferings of a Revolutionary Soldier,
(originally published anonymously) (Glazier, Masters & Co., Hallowell, Maine, 1830)
have been checked against other records and found to be quite accurate.

The Battle of Yorktown [History Matters]
Patriots of the American Revolution is a quarterly magazine (with some articles
posted on the Web) that was started in mid-2006. "Our goal is clear and precise:
devotion to promoting education of the Revolutionary War, to preserve American heritage
and continue to honor those who served this country with no other incentive
than to gain their independence."
