Nineth Massachusetts Regiment (Wesson's)

Initially formed as Gerrish's Regiment in 1775 June, this became the 26th Continental Regiment on 1776 Jan 01. This was consolidated with the 21st Continental Regiment and renamed Wesson's Massachusetts Battalion on 1777 Jan 01. It was renamed as the 9th Massachusetts Regiment on 1779 May 12 and remained this until disbanded on 1783 Jan 01.
