11th Pennsylvania Regiment: (1776 Oct 25 - 1778 July 01)
History of the "Old" 11th, by John B. B. Trussell [posted by the 11thpa.org] -- The 11th was one of the five Pennsylvania regiments authorized for the Continental Army on 1776 October 25. It was absorbed into the 10th Pennsylvania Regiment in connection with the general restructuring which took effect on 1778 July 1.

1781 Jan 01 "Mutiny of the Pennsylvania Line" by Larry Smith [Blair County Chapter, Pennsylvania Society SAR] All eleven of the Pennsylvania Continental regiments left winter camp in Morristown NJ and marched to Princeton, preparing to continue to Philadelphia. After eleven days the mutiny was resolved with little bloodshed. One result was the re-organization of the men remaining in the eleven much-under-strrength Pennsylvania Continental regiments into three full "provisional" Pennsylvania Continental regiments.
